Jessie McNaughton
Founder & President
Jessie McNaughton is the founder and president of McRea Mills. With over a decade of experience in the fiber arts and small business sectors, Jessie brings a unique combination of hands-on industry knowledge, retail operations expertise, and a deep commitment to sustainable, community-centered manufacturing. Prior to founding McRea Mills, she co-founded and owns Lift Bridge Yarns, a successful yarn shop in Fairport, NY, where she cultivates a thriving local crafting community and has developed lasting relationships with fiber farmers and small-batch yarn producers.
Jessie holds bachelors degrees in Studio Art and English and has spent much of her career championing local sourcing, ethical production practices, and education around the fiber supply chain. At McRea Mills, she leads strategic planning, partnership development, and overall business operations. She is passionate about creating transparent, localized supply chains that empower small farmers and artisans.
Her hands-on experience working with both raw fiber and end consumers gives her a unique vantage point to build a sock manufacturing business that is rooted in the needs of New York State’s agricultural community.
Gabe McNaughton
Vice President & Logistics Support
Gabe McNaughton is the vice president and minority owner of McRea, LLC. With a Bachelor’s degree in Sports Business Management and years of experience supporting small business operations, Gabe brings a pragmatic, systems-oriented approach to McRea Mills. Through his support of Jessie’s fiber arts career for more than 13 years he has gained a deep understanding of the industry and its unique logistics and challenges.
Gabe also co-founded Junction361, a successful café and craft beer bar in Fairport, NY, which has been in operation for three years. His experience in launching and managing a local service-based business has strengthened his skills in operations, customer service, and day-to-day management.
At McRea Mills, Gabe is responsible for administrative support and managing logistical operations, including production scheduling, inventory oversight, vendor coordination, and supply chain efficiency. His analytical mindset and commitment to detail ensure smooth back-end operations, allowing the company to scale efficiently while staying grounded in its mission of sustainability and community-focused production.
